Choose useful words for today

Read a short email, recipe, or article that matches your interests. Save useful phrases you could use this week. Begin with three to five words rather than a large imported list. Keep the source so you can revisit the meaning.

Learn phrases, not just synonyms

Notice which words go together. “Make a decision” and “do homework” are useful chunks. Do not assume two words with similar dictionary meanings fit the same sentence.

Try these starter examples

“make an appointment”: I need to make an appointment for Friday.

“look forward to”: I look forward to meeting you.

“run out of”: We ran out of coffee this morning.

Turn the examples into active recall

Look at the meaning and try to say or write the word before checking. Then read the original sentence and explain it in your own words. Add one example about your life; copying a sentence and using a word are different tasks.

A short practice session

Say the phrase in a short message or voice note. Check the preposition and verb form, not just whether the main word appears. Review these words tomorrow before adding more. If a prompt is ambiguous, edit the card instead of repeatedly guessing.

Use FluentBoo as part of a wider routine

Save vocabulary from photos, screenshots, or text; practice with flashcards and other app modes. Pair this with English listening, reading, conversation, and feedback. AI explanations can help, but verify uncertain translations and grammar with a reliable dictionary or teacher.

Try a word from your own day

Install FluentBoo, save one useful word, and practise using it in a sentence. A free plan is available; optional paid features have limits and pricing shown in the app.
